Unmutedco was founded in 2018 in Atlanta, Georgia as a merger between independent media and content powerhouses with over two decades of experience. Over the past 5 years, we have grown from a regional company into a national technology, media and content solutions powerhouse for Black and brown communities.

VISICOM opens in Atlanta, GA
Visicom launches with a small digital and consulting presence in the Southeast. The firm grew to over 50 within the first year and became the new media solution leader for the state of Georgia.

2010
Catalyst Media Group opens in Atlanta, GA
Catalyst Media Group launches a barrage of digital/internet based web properties and enters the southeastern US digital landscape as market leader.

2012
CMG becomes Catalyst Next
In efforts to rebrand and associate new business opportunities with the DigiFirst approach of the firm, Catalyst Media Group rebrands to Catalyst Next. Catalyst Next grows exponentially, expanding broadcast and digital capabilities throughout the East coast.

VISICOM & Catalyst Next become Unmutedco
With definitive management changes in the structures of the Visicom companies, Catalyst Next and Urban Newsroom, Catalyst's independent Newsroom, merger discussions commenced and concluded during the months of January - May 28th, 2018. On June 1, 2018, UnmutedCo. assumed the majority of operations from all companies and began as a new organization, with HQs in Atlanta, GA and New York City, NY.
